The SHIFT is about making room at the table. Social Workers, GET IT!  We make room because it’s impossible to do this work alone. Much of what I see at a granular level is a total disconnect between technology implementation people and program practice people. We’re jamming new technology in these agencies for millions of dollars with little to no innovation. The workforce is not getting better tools and we’re killing our already battled-fatigued staff.

The underlying issue is that we’re mashing up "tech folks" with the "practice folks", and they don't speak the same language. No one talks about vulnerability or authenticity and no one is talking about the parallel processes of engagement and collaboration. The SHIFT I’m messaging is about changing perspectives and creating with PURPOSE.

 The SHIFT is both an action and perfectly describes our ‘mission/movement.’ It’s time to flip the switch.
